Hornets End 2009 Season

The Hornets ended the 2009 season after falling to North Penn in Blossburg, 55-0. The Hornets had no answer for North Penn, as the Panthers tallied 466 yards on the ground and 76 through the air for a total of 542 yards.

North Penn scored early and often in the first half as they quickly jumped out to a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was much of the same as they scored three more times to take a 42-0 lead into halftime. The Panthers closed out the game by scoring a touchdown in each of the final two quarters.

With the loss, Wellsboro will end the 2009 season with a 1-9 overall record and a 1-4 record in the NTL Large School Division. North Penn finished the regular season with a 5-5 overall record and a 2-3 record in the NTL Large School Division.
