After six weeks of the 2009 season, Athens and Towanda are the only teams with undefeated records in the NTL Large School Division. Athens defeated Troy 7-0 to improve to 2-0 in the league and 4-2 overall.
In other NTL action, North Penn defeated Wyalusing, Canton dropped Montgomery, Sayre picked up an overtime win against South Williamsport, and Cowanesque picked up its first win of the year by defeating Freedom Village.
In other action around the district, Muncy beat Warrior Run, Mount Carmel shut out Loyalsock, and Montoursville improves to 6-0.
