JV Football falls to Canton

The Wellsboro JV team suffered their third loss of the year as they fell to Canton tonight, 14-6.
The Hornets kept the game close at halftime as Sophomore Quarterback Dylan Widows connected with Sophomore Receiver Nick Marple on a 70 yard touchdown pass to bring the Hornets to within one point at 7-6. The second half was not as favorable for Wellsboro as they allowed a touchdown and ended up falling 14-6.
With the loss, the Hornets are now 1-3 on the year. The team will be in action next Monday, October 1 as they travel to North Penn.
