JV Hornets shutout Troy

The Wellsboro JV Football team picked up their second win of the season by shutting out Troy 24-0 on Tuesday, September 4.

Sophomore Nick Smith threw a touchdown to freshman Coleman Brown then ran in the two-point conversion to put Wellsboro up 8-0, then broke a 75-yard run and again rushed for the two-point conversion to make it 16-0.

The Hornets' final score of the game came on a 5-yard run by sophomore Landon Goetsch, who also ran in the two-point conversion, to push the score to 24-0.

The win improves the JV team's record to 2-0. The team will be back in action on Monday, September 10 at Montgomery.
