JV Hornets Edge Loyalsock

Wellsboro's JV Football team scored their first win of the season by edging Loyalsock 16-12 Monday night.
"I'm super proud of the boys tonight and how they came out and performed," coach Bryce Bitner said. "They played with grit and did all the small things right. The line did a great job setting up Hauser for success on the ground and Derrick did an awesome job throwing through the air. We played a complete four quarters. There were plenty of times we could've given up points, but they were a perfect example of bending and not breaking."
The Hornets held an 8-6 lead at the half then scored once again in the second half. Both times Wellsboro converted their two-point conversions.
Sophomore Colton Hauser scored on the ground and sophomore Derrick Blasz connected with senior Wyatt Davenport on a TD pass.
Wellsboro (1-1) hosts Canton next Monday.
